What We Do, and Why Public and private decisions shaping science and technology increasingly involve
international dimensions. Investments in research in one locale have spillover
consequences in other locations and other areas of science. As part of the Department of Applied Economics and the University of Minnesota, InSTePP is well placed to study the international aspects of science and technology policy. The University is at the forefront in many areas of science and technology, making it an ideal location for the Center. In addition, InSTePP's economic emphasis complements other on-going science policy initiatives at the University of Minnesota.
