This report is the third in the sequence of the National Census of Agriculture and Livestock Report for Uganda after Volume 1: "Methodology of the Census" and Volume II, "Holding Characteristics". This report gives data an areas, yields and production of selected crops for 1990/199l agricultural year.

The data presented in this report is for the 26 districts where field data collection was successfully undertaken. The districts of Gulu, Kitgum, Kotido, Kumi, Moroto and Soroti, representing about 11 percent of Uganda's rural population were excluded due to the then prevailing security situation. Kampala district, which is predominantly urban, was excluded from the census coverage.
